Dr. Abe Avender is a fully licensed Doctor of Chiropractic, a graduate of the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2007. His undergraduate education includes a Bachelor of Science majoring in Kinesiology from the University of Victoria in 2002.
Dr. Avender has furthered his education with certifications multiple manual soft tissue therapies, Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), injury rehabilitation & prevention, golf swing biomechanics, video golf swing analysis, and golf specific fitness & conditioning programs.
Abe is an avid sport and outdoorsman, spending a lot of his free time competing in sport or enjoying Vancouver Islands many incredible outdoor experiences.
Dr. Avender is extremely proud to take his dedication and passion for health and athletics to Nanaimo at Island Optimal Health & Performance. His dedication to help people succeed in all aspects of life and athletics are reflected in his thorough assessment skills and unique treatment protocols. He looks forward to working with people of all ages to make a difference in their lives.
